Playtime takes place in my hometown of Ahmadi, Kuwait - a once thriving expat town at the edges of Kuwait Oil Company’s headquarters. The film was funded by the Doha Film Institute and produced in partnership with a local production company.

It follows a transformative night out in Kuwait for Matthew, a British expat who sneaks away with a babysitter they thought they could trust and learns some difficult lessons about friendship in the process.

The film premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Arab Short Film. It screened at the Palm Springs International Shortfest and Won Best Short Film at San Francisco ShortsFest.

You can stream it on IndieFlix (or contact me directly for a screening link).
